Joint team of security forces managed to kill two Maoists today in  hours long encounter inside Barmasia Kumartari forest covers falling under Barhet PS in Jamui district in Eastern Bihar.  The areas falling near  the bordering parts of Dharahara and Haveli Kharaghpur (Munger).

The areas are highly inaccessible and the stretch of the forest covers at the two sides, Haveli Khraghpur and Dharahara which are also touching Jamui and Lakhisarai respectively. The areas of Kharaghpur falls under the jurisdiction of Munger while the parts of Dharhara falls in Lakhisarai’s jurisdiction where the encounter is still going on.

were also recovered from the site, the sources said. However the two bodies of the rebels  are yet not identified, the sources pointed out.

131 battalion , 125 battalion of CRPF , CoBRA battalion besides local police cordon off the areas from last late evening after a well place tip off about the presence of the red ultras who were more than 75 in  numbers. The combined security forces had to face firing from the outfits inside the forest soon they entered inside it. Hundreds rounds of fire have been exchanged and the security persons claimed the casualties from the rebels’ side could be risen. Due to adverse weather conditions, the intensity of operation against the rebels however were went slow after Sun set today but security forces still inside the forest covers and gun shorts still heard from the areas,  sources from the nearby villages claimed.

All the concerned police stations in red effected areas in eastern Bihar district are sounded high  alert  and state police headquarter  has been  monitoring the developments.
