Criminals looted bank employee, police recovers more than Rs 8 Lakh within half an hour

Crimes like snatching, killings in open broad daylight and other petty crimes have become common at Bhagalpur but tight policing in many occasions proved fruitful in countering crimes.

On Saturday prompt policing has managed to recover Rs 8,13000 within half-an hour  of the incident of  looting. Three criminals involved in the incident were also arrested with arms and ammunition.

Ashish Bhrati, senior superintendent of police, Bhagalpur told that at around 5 pm this evening one Ganesh Saha, a native of Paghadi  village under Sabaur, PS in Bhagalpur who is presently as an employee in the customer care center of SBI at  in Jathedih Village was returning with Rs 8,13,000 (eight lakhs thirteen thousand rupees) on his motor cycle.

He was intercepted by three armed youths near Kurpat river who snatched Sah’s black bag in which he kept the amount. Soon the youths flee towards Rajpur, the victim, Sah managed to inform about the mishap to some of his relative who subsequently informed SHO, Sabour PS, Rajiv Kumar.

Arrested criminals who looted bank staff.

Kumar who was on patrolling duty, chased the criminals and managed to nab them near Sultanpur Vitty village and recovered the black bag with the intact money. Three youths were arrested and police recovered two loaded country made pistols and two live cartridges and four mobiles from their possession.

In another incident, police recovered 430.92 liter liquor bottles from a hidden chamber of a pickup van near Sonhoula check post under Jagdishpur PS today.
