Varsity students paralyze trains’ movements, protesting against railway recruitment board

It’s the way of tendering protest : mob of  irate students from Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU) have put a blockage on the railway tracks near Bhagalpur railway station to show their protest against railway recruitment board’s inactivity in publishing vacancies for the past several years.

And commuters on Kiul-Sahebganj loop section of Eastern railways became the worst suffers as traffic on this section remained paralyzed since this afternoon !

The students who  were protesting against apathy of the railway recruitment board,  earlier this morning taken out a procession from the varsity premises and went to give memorandum to DM, Bhagapur. They alleged that not a single government official here even listen to their grievances, they have decided to send a direct massage to union railway minister while blocking the movements of trains.

More than one thousand students squatted on the railway tracks near the west side outer signal of Bhagalpur railway station. The blockade of tracks resulting complete disruption on traffic on Kiul-Sahebganj section from 11 am today.

Senior GRP officials expressed utter helplessness to face the crowds of the students with their limited men power. Senior district and police officials however rushed to the spot for controlling the situation.

“I have been anxiously waiting for the normalcy as because I am scheduled to board on Jamalpur-Howrah express train this evening, I have very important work at Mumbai tomorrow and I am schedule to take my flight from Kolkata on tomorrow morning. I don’t know what would happen ultimately,” exclaimed Vinit Guria, a cloth merchant.

“We have given ultimatum to clear the track, if the students would not clear the tracks we would compel to apply force on them,” said a senior ranking cop here.
